REDEFINING RACE

True innovation isn’t only about making race harnesses perform better. It’s about questioning every compromise they have always demanded.

The Genie Race 6 combines World Cup-level performance with a new approach to accessibility, protection and usability, delivering a race harness that performs at the highest level without asking pilots to sacrifice the experience or safety. The result is a race harness that performs at the highest level without demanding the compromises that once defined the category.

Dual Cockpit Concept

The Genie Race 6 gives pilots two choices in one: fly with the cockpit exposed for maximum visibility and instant access, or close it with the dedicated cover to achieve an exceptionally clean, fully faired profile. Unlike other race harnesses, this system lets you adapt the setup to your preference without sacrificing aerodynamics, thanks to the intelligently designed cover, side zips and magnetic openings that keep the instruments easy to reach in flight, even with the covered cockpit.

Advanced Protection Without Added Bulk

Developed to solve one of the classic compromises in competition harness design, the Genie Race 6 achieves high-level impact performance without increasing the harness section. Its advanced multilayer protection delivers 35.41 G’s of impact while maintaining the slim aerodynamic profile demanded by modern competition harnesses. In addition, the protection is designed to work across different impact angles and both light and heavy impacts. The result is a protection that extends across the entire back and seat area, creating a fully integrated protective structure without compromising aerodynamic efficiency. In addition, the reserve handles are repositioned further forward for faster, more intuitive access in emergency situations.

Maximum Aerodynamic Performance

Every detail has been engineered to maximise aerodynamic efficiency. The low cross-sectional area, wind-tunnel-tested shape and carefully optimised nose radius work together to maximise internal pressure and minimise drag, especially at high speed. Combined with the cockpit solution and the innovative protection system, the result is exceptional glide efficiency and maximum performance when it matters most.

Race-Grade Stability

In racing, performance depends on how efficiently the pilot, harness and wing work as a single system. Drawing on the expertise of renowned harness designer Denis Cortella, the Genie Race 6 is engineered to minimise unwanted torsional movement, allowing pilot inputs to be transmitted immediately instead of being absorbed by harness twist.

Together with a rear keel that reduces yaw at high speed, the result is a remarkably composed platform through transitions and turbulent air. The wing moves less, produces less drag, and pilots can respond with more precise timing, maintaining efficiency and control when every second counts.

Effortless Setup

Every interaction has been designed to reduce complexity before take-off and in flight. The Genie Race 6 introduces an anti-forget connection between the main strap and ballast bag, simplifies adjustment with an additional seat-base setting, and remains compact and lightweight for transport.

A dedicated pee-tube system exit, an anti-G pocket with dedicated attachment point, and multiple cable routing tunnels complete a harness designed for the practical demands of long-distance competition.

Purpose-Built Storage

The Genie Race 6 offers carefully placed storage throughout the harness, including one compartment that features a direct cable passage into the cockpit, making it ideal for an external battery, while the opposite pocket provides an isolated location for a competition tracker or radio. There is one additional upper cockpit pocket and two side pockets, with the possibility of integrating the upcoming GIN G-Chute system into either side compartment. Additional storage is available beneath the seat plate, while both the back pocket and ballast bag remain as generous as on the proven Genie Race 5.

details

Aerocone

The rear aerocone has been completely redesigned to maximise aerodynamic efficiency.

A newly integrated lower keel further improves directional stability by reducing yawing tendencies, helping the harness maintain a cleaner aerodynamic attitude during high-speed glides and transitions.

Back pocket 30 L

The rear storage compartment offers generous capacity for an XXL rucksack together with all the equipment required for competition flying.

An integrated hydration bladder compartment, complete with dedicated hose routing, keeps hydration systems neatly organised, while an external compression cord allows the pocket volume to be reduced when carrying less equipment.

Multilayer protector

The Multilayer Protector represents one of the most significant developments of the Genie Race 6.

Delivering a certified maximum impact peak of 35.41 G, it addresses one of the greatest compromises traditionally associated with race harnesses, achieving a substantial increase in protection without increasing the aerodynamic cross-section.

Rather than focusing solely on peak impact performance, the internal structure has been specifically engineered to perform consistently across a wide range of impact angles and energies. This was achieved through extensive research into material combinations and layer configurations, optimising how different materials work together to absorb and distribute impact forces.

Dual cockpit

The Genie Race 6 cockpit is built around a dual-configuration concept, allowing pilots to choose between unrestricted instrument access or a fully faired aerodynamic setup.

The removable cockpit cover combines conventional side zips with magnetic closures at the front and rear, making it quick to install and easy to open in flight whenever access to instruments is required. When flying with the cover installed, a dedicated air inlet can be opened to pressurise the cockpit cover, giving it the correct aerodynamic shape while allowing the flight instruments to remain clearly visible through the transparent cover. When flying without the cover, the inlet is simply closed to maintain the internal pressure of the harness.

With a generous 30 × 15 cm instrument area, the cockpit accommodates virtually any competition instrument layout. A dedicated front pocket and integrated cable routing to the side storage compartments allow convenient connection of external batteries or other electronic devices.

Asymmetric speedbar

Included with your harness is an asymmetric speedbar.

This enables the pilot to use it with only one leg for each step and thus maintain the speedbar pulleys in a symmetrical position at all times.

Optimized Nose

The nose section acts as the leading edge of the harness, making it one of the most aerodynamically critical areas.

Both the intake geometry and the external profile have been carefully optimised to maximise internal pressure while ensuring the cleanest possible airflow transition into the surrounding airstream, reducing drag and maintaining the intended aerodynamic shape at speed.

Ergonomic chest

The vest has been completely refined with new collar and sleeve shaping, together with updated materials that improve both comfort and fit.

The result is a harness that is easier to put on, feels less restrictive around the shoulders and neck, and remains comfortable throughout long competition flights.

Rescue containers

The reserve containers are positioned behind the pilot to minimise the cross-sectional area of the harness, contributing to improved aerodynamic efficiency while preserving greater visibility.

Compared to the Genie Race 5, the reserve handles have been repositioned further forward, allowing a more natural and intuitive deployment by simply moving the hands downward from the carabiner position during an emergency.

Side pockets

Two side storage compartments provide quick access to essential equipment during flight.

Each pocket is also prepared for seamless integration with the upcoming GIN G-Chute anti-G system, allowing either side to be used depending on pilot preference.

Chest pocket

Integrated into the vest, the chest pockets provide convenient storage for essential electronic devices such as a tracker, radio or external battery.

One pocket includes a direct cable passage to the cockpit, allowing external power supplies to be connected neatly without exposed cables.

Balast bag 10 L

Genie Race 6 is supplied with a 10 L ballast container. A zippered opening at the top allows easy filling, while six attachment straps ensure an optimal hanging position and improved comfort in flight. The upper straps attach to the shoulder straps to help support the ballast while on the ground.

We recommend always flying with the ballast container installed, as it contributes to the overall stability of the harness.

Anti-forget system

The Genie Race 6 features a robust anti-forget system that connects one of the ballast bag attachments directly to the harness.

Constructed using high-strength loops, the system is designed to withstand substantial loads while remaining quick and intuitive to connect before every flight.

Note: As the system is integrated into one of the ballast bag attachments, the anti-forget function is only available when the ballast bag is installed.

Magnetic zipper

A cylindrical magnetic zipper secures the cocoon opening with carefully balanced holding force.

Strong enough to keep the cocoon reliably closed in flight, it can still be opened effortlessly when preparing to land, making entry and exit simple without compromising aerodynamic performance.

Seat plate

A new seat plate angle adjustment allows pilots to fine-tune their preferred seating position more precisely than ever before.

The seat plate is also connected to the back support through a stabilising linkage developed by renowned harness designer Denis Cortella. This system significantly reduces unwanted torsional movement, yaw and harness twist, creating a more stable platform during long glides, strong thermals and turbulent conditions.

Outlet for catheter system

A dedicated outlet at the bottom of the cocoon allows a pee-tube system to exit cleanly without disturbing the harness’ internal pressure.

This integrated solution avoids unnecessary openings elsewhere in the fairing, preserving aerodynamic efficiency throughout the flight.
